Responsible Person requirements
EU

There are two regulations that may require you to provide Responsible Person information to Amazon:

• Market Surveillance Regulation

In effect since Jul 16, 2021

Am I impacted? If you sell CE-marked products in the EU.

• General Product Safety Regulation

Deadline: Dec 13, 2024

Am I impacted? If you sell products in the EU (excluding food and some other specific products).

Consequences of non-compliance: Listing deactivation, if we become aware of non-compliance.

Provide your EU-based Responsible Person information

Safety labeling, warnings and markings
EU

Am I impacted? If you sell products in the EU that are subject to product compliance display requirements.

Consequences of non-compliance: Listing deactivation if we become aware of non-compliance.

If you are not yet displaying your product compliance information on your product detail pages, follow the steps on our help page to upload images of your product safety labelling, warnings and markings.

Energy Efficiency Labeling
EU

Am I impacted? Yes, if you sell energy-labeled products across the EU.

Consequences of non-compliance: You must be compliant with the EU energy efficiency labeling regulations if you offer energy-labeled products for sale in the EU. Any listings found to be non-compliant may be removed from sale on Amazon's EU websites.

Germany

Am I impacted? Yes, if you manufacture or import 10 tons or more of finished plastic packaging into the UK.

Consequences of non-compliance: Account suspension in UK store if notified by HMRC¹.

Germany

Am I impacted? Yes, if you have inventory stored in Germany OR if you conduct B2C sales to Germany and your total EU sales exceed €10,000 per year.

or EU VAT registration number accompanied by evidence of your Union-Stop Shop (OSS) preference.
