You will be automatically enrolled in EPR Pay on Behalf, unless you prove compliance by December 31, 2023

Dear Seller,

In France and Spain, Amazon is obliged to check the compliance of certain category goods with EPR requirements sold on Amazon.fr and Amazon.es. You can learn more about products subject to French regulations on the EPR Page for France and about products subject to Spanish regulations on the EPR Page for Spain.

Submit your proof of compliance for the applicable EPR categories to Amazon by December 31, 2023, otherwise you’ll be automatically enrolled (or keep being enrolled) in Amazon’s Pay on Behalf service for the period based on the reporting cycle of the respective categories. The service will allow you to continue selling on Amazon.fr and Amazon.es in accordance with the terms and conditions specified on the EPR Requirements Policy for Third-Party Sellers in France page and in Spain page.

It can take us five working days to validate your registration number, so we recommend that you submit your number as soon as you have it.

Note that if you submit a valid UIN for a category which has quarterly reporting cycle you will still be charged for the previous quarters when a valid UIN was not in place for the respective category, this applies also for categories with semi annual charging cycles. If you have already submitted your proof of compliance and your status is valid on the Compliance Portal, you will not be auto enrolled in our Pay on Behalf service.

How much does the service cost?

Amazon will charge your seller account with a service fee and the eco-contribution fees, that Amazon will pay on behalf of your packaged goods sales on Amazon.fr and Amazon.es. In France and Spain Amazon charges an annual service fee for each relevant EPR category of €24.99 + 3% of the eco-contributions paid on your behalf in each year (see example below). Service fee does not include VAT, if applicable. The charging cycle for service fee varies based on the category.
