Action required: Your Amazon Seller listings have been deactivated   hero banner

Hello,

We have deactivated your listings for products subject to CE-marking requirements from sale on Amazon. We leveraged a combination of automated means and expert human review to identify this issue and make this decision. This action does not impact your account health.

Why is this happening?

We took this decision because we have detected that the required Responsible Person information is missing on the Manage your compliance dashboard in Seller Central, or we have been notified that the Responsible Person information is not correct.

The Market Surveillance Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 requires relevant CE-marked products to have a Responsible Person in the European Union as the point of contact for product compliance.

You must provide the details of this contact on the Manage your compliance dashboard to continue selling impacted products in Amazon’s EU stores, and to sell goods to customers in Northern Ireland.

As a seller, you are responsible for the products you list on Amazon, and you must comply with our policies and all applicable laws.

Note: If you are located in the UK and you do not ship your inventory to the EU member states, Northern Ireland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway, you can ignore this email.

How do I reactivate my listings?

1. To reactivate your listings, go to the Manage your compliance dashboard and submit your Responsible Person information for each ASIN or brand marked as "past due" and "not submitted" for Responsible Person requirements. For guidance, go to Market Surveillance Regulation - Responsible Person requirements.

2. After you have submitted your Responsible Person information, your impacted listings will be eligible for reactivation, unless other violations for the same listing are present on the Account Health dashboard.

3. You will need to reactivate impacted listings shown as “Inactive” in the Manage Inventory dashboard in Seller Central. For instructions on how to relist these inactive listings, go to Reinstating inactive listings: individual and bulk completion.

What happens if I do not submit the required information?

If you do not update the Manage your compliance dashboard within 30 days, your CE-marked inventory will remain non-sellable and will enter the stranded inventory process. You will receive a separate email notification from Amazon listing the inventory that is stranded.

Once you receive this email notification, you will have a further 45 days to provide your Responsible Person information, before your inventory is removed from our EU fulfillment centers, at your cost.

If you require more time to provide your Responsible Person information on the Manage your compliance dashboard, you may select Delay auto removal for 30 days on Fix stranded inventory for each listing to provide an additional 30 days before automatic removal. This option is limited to one time per listing. You must take this step within 44 days of receiving the stranded inventory email notification.

If you do not provide your Responsible Person information within the specified timeframe, your inventory will be disposed of, or returned to you, if you have created a removal order or set up automatic returns on the Fulfilment by Amazon settings page. If you want to have your inventory returned to you, we recommend you take one of those steps as soon as you receive this email, and at the latest, 44 days after receiving the stranded inventory notification email.

Note: that if you have designated Amazon to accelerate automatic removal of stranded units they may be removed more quickly. To customize your automatic removal settings, go to Fix stranded inventory and click Edit automatic-action settings.

What if I do not want to continue selling CE-marked products?

If you don't want to continue selling CE-marked products on Amazon’s EU stores, you can remove them via the Manage Inventory dashboard. For more information, see Manage inventory.

You will then need to wait for the inventory to be returned to you or disposed, or remove it yourself. To remove your inventory, you can either follow the steps on Remove inventory from a fulfilment center to create a removal order, or set up automated inventory removal by following the steps on Remove inventory automatically.

Have your listings been removed in error?
